Custom Guided Ride

Have you ever been on a ride that a map and directions just couldn’t do justice?  Yeah you could draw a line on the map, but for someone to follow it would almost be impossible.  The roads aren’t well marked, signs are poor and you have to make your way into the back woods.  In southern Indiana those directions typically start with, “You go down to Blue Barn Hill and take a right …”.  The problem is, that ‘blue barn’ hasn’t stood on the hill since the 1950’s!

 

  We have just such a route - if you enjoy natural and geologic formations as well as a few man-made structures and folklore, this is the ride for you.  See a little history, enjoy nature and hear a few REALLY bad stories.  We (your innkeepers) guide you on some of the back “back” roads, show you some sites you might not see and gives us a chance to get to know you a little better.  Speeds generally stay under 45 MPH and we use mostly county roads versus state highways.

 

This ride is done on a limited basis and at an additional cost which is split evenly across all rooms in your party.  We depart promptly at 10:00 with a pre-departure briefing to start at 9:30.  The ride will end approximately 3-1/2 hours later with lunch in French Lick Springs.  You are then provided with return directions and a map and turned loose to explore French Lick, West Baden, their two historic hotels and shopping districts.
